CALIFORNIA REAL ESTATE BROKER'S LICENSE
QUALIFYING TO BECOME A REAL ESTATE BROKER
To become licensed as a California Real Estate Broker, you must first meet ONE of the following General Requirements:
- Minimum of two years full time employment (or four years part time) as a Real Estate Salesperson within the past five years.
- The employment requirement listed above is waived if you have a four year college degree, in any subject, from an accredited college. With a four year degree, you may take the state broker's exam provided you have met the educational requirements listed below.

Then you must fulfill the following EDUCATIONAL REQUIRMENTS:
Successful completion of 8 Statutory Courses is required prior to taking the State Broker's exam.

All the above Broker qualifying courses listed above are available from our school.
*Note: The DRE will usually accept courses in the above topics completed at an accredited college, even if it was many years ago. The most typical courses are college level economics or accounting. A transcript is required. Previously completed courses from approved Real Estate Schools also count toward the requirement. Please contact us with any questions regarding broker's licensing.
